MAY: IT WAS THE MONSTER SMASH
Welcome Shades, to our monthly event! Seems The Flux has landed in an interesting place, indeed...
It has taken the place of what appears to be a castle, nestled on a green hill. While it may look old, the interior has taken on a modern—even futuristic—vibe. The hallways and rooms are both taller and wider, with fewer signs of clutter.
Following the theme, all technology has become highly advanced: holographic televisions and computers, neon lights, automated doors and other devices. For those wondering what this means for the network, this will be explained before they leave: their devices have temporarily merged with their bodies - allowing them access to a "mental" network. All anyone has to do is think and it shall be done - right down to opening their doors. They can, of course, issue voice commands or pull up holographic screens to play around with, allowing room to things a little more manually.
Stepping outside, however, is when the real fun begins. Once they exit the hotel, they will either become a full-blown monster, or one hundred percent human. The monsters can be of any size, which might explain The Flux's new internal dimensions. Humans, however, are all within a much more average (meaning 6' is tall) range.
Unfortunately for those turning into or staying humanoid, they will only have their typical abilities and skills... and the natives of this world will react differently to them. Depending on personal beliefs, they may be afraid, angry, or hopeful. Those turning into monsters, however, will be treated to a few, additional abilities; for the majority of them, these will be sexual in nature, while others will find they do things such as comfort and soothe.
ITEMS GIVEN TO CHARACTERS: Mental technological network
A pill that allows individuals to take on certain challenges, such as fitting large appendage(s), or holding a large quantity of eggs
The equivalent of $2000 and a reminder it has to last the three week stay
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE
cw: body horror, speciesism
Once outside, they'll find an old-looking village off to their left (or east). Humans can be seen moving around on the streets, and they all look a bit... haggard, sadly. They're wearing simple clothing, and always doing tasks by hand. Further exploration will reveal the reason: there is not a single bit of technology to be found. Everything they do is with the most basic rudimentary tools, even down to using an old windmill to crush wheat and sugar.
It's a simple town, but the people are welcoming to other humans! Come have a drink, or share tales of where you come from. Some will be easily engrossed in stories of other lands, and others will laugh them off as clearly fictional.
Those who've become a monster, however, will have a different experience here. These humans are wary and distrusting of monsters, so expect a lot of resistance and bitterness from the majority of them. While there is the rare exception, almost every human here will refuse to converse with anyone visibly monster-like.
Turning right (or west) from The Flux, is a futuristic city. This means skyscraper buildings, hovering cars, holographic billboards... No one has to lift a hand to do more than push a button or walk to a destination at any given time! While some of the buildings may seem tall, it's obvious this city was made with individuals of all shapes and sizes in mind. Extremely tall and wide doors to allow access to incredibly large beings; luckily, since everything is technologically advanced, these still work for smaller individuals.
This side is populated by monsters, big and small, while any humans in this part of the city appear to be either menial labor workers or outright pets.
CITY OF SIN
cw: nudity, sex/brothels, alcohol, exhibitionism/voyeurism, extreme corporal punishment & murder
Once out in the city, people will find that there's a lot to enjoy. From strange new foods made from unidentifiable meats to music-pounding night clubs. Stores sell advanced technology in all shapes and sizes, including computer-like devices that require no power source at all, or pet shops selling strange little creatures. Fashion for monsters doesn't seem to exist, as most of them walk around in what could be considered the nude by human standards; the few who do wear clothing seem to favor convenience over concealment.
At the borders between the human village and the monster city, there are two locations containing neither signs nor advertisement. One of these locations is a speakeasy—monsters and humans exist as equals, enjoying their nights in peace. Hushed words about a rebellion can be heard, if listening closely; monsters appear to make deals with the humans. A promise to side with them, whenever the latter finally take their stand. Newcomers will be watched closely by both sides. It may take time to gain the trust of these individuals, but it's clear they're determined to free humans of oppression. Perhaps they'll be willing to give any genuine folks a chance.
The second most popular place is a brothel. This is where humans and monsters are put on display for perusal—mostly outcasts of the world, who enjoy having sex with those from the other side of things. They're looking for a good time with anyone who's very different from them. While the speakeasy is filled with talk of rebellion, the individuals in the brothel speak of peace, equality, and love. One doesn't have to look far for a willing body or more for the night in this place; they're all eager to partake. Folks are also welcome to rent a room for the night.
In a stark contrast, brothels within the monster's city only have humans on offer. These are well known, where any monster can come get themselves an individual to bed for the night. Unlike the unspoken brothel, these places are far less friendly to those who aren't just looking for a single night of fun. Most humans here are being punished in some way. Asking around, the hotel residents can learn that the brothel is usually chosen by those humans, because the alternative is usually public execution.
In any case, there are no private rooms here, but there are beds with a viewing section, for those paying to watch.
PROMPT THREE
THEY DID THE MONSTER SMASH
cw: nsfw, sexual content, dubcon, aphrodisiacs, monster fucking, exhibitionism/voyeurism, violence, death
May 15th marks Day 1 of Breeding Festival. The streets of the monster city are lined with decorations that are incredibly phallic in nature. Signs are being posted that street stalls will be setting up soon along the main avenue and what their wares will be. Food stalls are the first to go up and start earning some money, while the majority of them seem to be marked with a special sign that indicates the presence of aphrodisiacs. These are the food stalls that are the most popular and always busy.
As the days go by, more stalls are set up; people can buy all sorts of paraphernalia for the upcoming two-day breeding spree. This includes anything from monstrous dildos and sleeves, collars and leashes, whips and paddles, strange plants with tentacle-like vines, and much more! There are even free-standing brothel booths, where humans and monsters alike are available to claim for the breeding spree. At the heart of the street is what seems to be a meeting place for those on the hunt for their perfect festival partner. Standing there guarantees being approached and hit on by a monster.
One thing that's impossible to miss is that there is a lot of random fucking in public - monsters with incredibly high libidos, or those simply wishing to take full advantage of the festival. Windows are thrown wide open to allow others to peek in or out on any shows happening. Right now is the most dangerous time for any humans to be out and about. It doesn't seem to matter if one appears to be claimed in some way. Many monsters are clearly on the feral side, and they will go as far as to offer aphrodisiac food without informing the human.
Day 5 boasts a parade. Rather than flowers or other such materials, or something to showcase beautiful, artsy floats, it's simply a string of sexual positions for different species.
The final 2 days arrive, and dawn reveals a wild frenzy in the streets. Monsters tear at each other, orgies start up, and the breeding frenzy of the natives kick off. Caught in the crossfire of this are the humans, who can only hope to survive it. While some do seem to genuinely enjoy it, others are more or less putting up with it. Monster libido on these days is a terrifying thing for humans, and so most humans participating are on powerful aphrodisiacs. Occasionally, monsters may see another pair, or even a group, and try to join in or "steal" a partner. This can result in a great time for all, but it may result in someone's head getting ripped off.
For any Shade staying in the human village, who hasn't retreated back to the hotel for safety, there are still plenty of native humans hunkered down in their homes. Many whispered voices make it clear they've had enough of this; this will be the last Breeding Festival celebrated this way. So, if anyone is looking to get in on the rebellion that's clearly been building, now is a great time for it.
During this week, characters will find they can change from monster to human or human to monster one time; the change only lasts for twenty-four hours, and they will revert quite abruptly once the time is up.
